Paolo Serpieri
Was he an inspiration to our artists? Are there other fans on here of his work (especially the Druuna series)?

Love Serpieri's work. Druuna is a classic character and his tales of her "adventures" are always entertaining. Morbus Gravis has to be one of the greatest erotic epics ever.

Re: Paolo Serpieri
The one quibble I have about it is that the art is far superior to the writing. I wish Serpieri had used a more consistent plot throughout his series.

Yup, been a fan of his since I saw his work in HM.
For some reason Druuna reminded me of Jennifer Connelly in the Labyrinth movie.

Serpieri, yes, first saw his stuff in Heavy Metal in the '80s. Though I can't say I drew any particular influence from him, his drawing was always wonderful.

I love his nickname of being the "master of the ass".
Any DF artist want to try and win that belt from him?

Re: Paolo Serpieri
I love Druuna! I just regret that the sex is more erotic than straight up porn, like in Fansadox. I think Serpiere was holding himself back and he never figured just how graphic he wanted to be, so the series fluctuates a bit.

Re: Paolo Serpieri
One must gauge one's hardcore content...if you want a wider commercial acceptance. Druuna reached a wide audience because it did NOT go radical porn hardcore..we here at the Club DoFantasy come here to specifically enjoy that rather narrow taste of the extreme, but most people do not share our enthusiasm. And as an artist, you'll find you make a LOT more money and attract a LOT more fans in the long run by appealing to the erotic, the beautiful, the sexy more than the ugly and purely animalistic.

Re: Paolo Serpieri
Sure, I understand that; still, I'd love to see someone with Serpieri's talent really let himself go in a Dofantasy comix
