Roberts... Will this new format gonna be used more often? Cause I think it's a GREAT business move. I mean, surely there must be a reason why this format (24 pages + cover) is used by the mainstream comic industry.
Not even the best comic artists in the world, with a whole team of inkers, writters, photoshop experts, etc, can deliver a 50 page issue in a couple of months. The comic industry would be out of business in a blink of an eye.

As you pointed many times, it must be hell to do what guys like Fernando do. Of course, competition of the "finest+quicker+cheaper" is what drives economy, but it's obvious when something is ruin a company's business potential.
There's a lot of pro's on going with the 25 page format, the mainly one being the price. Cutting the price to almost half is crucial, 20€ is almost a prohibited luxury, and for a niche trend like this... well you get the picture. Maybe I'm wrong, DoF did an awesome job staying in business all this years, but perhaps this format could be a window to growing in the "demand" factor.

You can put a lot into 24 pages, and when we talk about: tie, whip and f@ck... you just can't go wrong with a canvas of 24 pages. Batman solves three global conspiracy threats and spend the weekend in a 5 star Resort all in a 24page comic issue.

Certainly there's a lot to talk about this. Maybe someone else can share better points of view.

I'm not sure this is a discussion for this thread. But sufficient to say here is that you mix apples with oranges. If "The comic industry" would charge 0.50€ per page, they surely "would be out of business in a blink of an eye". Ergo the business model is similar but not the same. Just because you're omitting the facts that doesn't fit your theory doesn't make it sound. Actually, I take that back. I am sure this is the wrong thread for this debate, it can be rather lengthy. Please start a thread about payment models if you want to dig deeper into this. Not entirely sure Dof wants that debate though.

Hi Thon, I don't undestand what's all about the "50€ a page" stuff, I've never say that. BUT I agree this it's not the place to talk about this issue. Nevertheless the new format and price that Roberts has put on the table here, surely will raise some eyebrows. I think it could be a good new thing. That's all.

To be perfectly honest, I've had an issue with the DoFantasy prices for a very long time.
It is a known fact that the US is the world's biggest buying market for adult/porn material.
To be completely "Euro-Centric" and stubborn about it is simply stealing money from your own pocket. At current exchange rates dollar-Euro, a 24.00Eu item is $32 to $38 USD depending on the daily rate. In case you all missed it, America is stone broke, nobody has any spare money, and it's turned into Nazi Germany circa 1939...having certain materials in your home or on your computers is now..."risky"..
Let me tell you things that will make Americans AVOID your website...1)Too Expensive. 2)Price Changes Hourly 3) Not enough NEW material..
If you tell Americans it's $19.95, it BETTER be $19.95 STILL when the bank statement comes in...that doesn't happen if you're buying in Euro. The exchange rate changes by the hour.
So YES, I think the 25 page format and the lower price are both THE idea, ones I am behind 100%.. I think the monthly website membership should be lower too, but that's another subject..
