A dime a dozen! It's hard for people nowaday to appreciate real art!
Before i know about Dof, I read Marvel comic and DC too, but never touch Warlord of Mar comic.
The comic itself using many cheap porn element just to attract reader, but have no real porn at all. Yeah, it alway use alot of porn element on its cover which attract people to buy it, but when you bought it you feel like a moron because there's no porn inside, plus interior art it worse than the cover art alot.
In fact you was being tricked to buy a none porn comic and if you 're smart you'll never make the same mistake again.

My point is "Warlord of Mar" trying so hard with porn element on its cover to attract people while the one who buy it gain no real porn at all! That kind of product with miss information about them alway annoying!
BTW as science already proved, sex is one of the primary human 's natures. Even though you denied it, it alway exist in you brain cells.

I'm just trying to understand your motivations...
Everyone who knows anything about the stories of Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Mars material as a whole knows immediately there's no porn there to be had. Frank Frazetta set the standard for illustrating the inhabitants of Barsoom as barely wearing anything at all...do sexy covers sell comics? Of course. Only an idiot puts a boring cover on their book..every time I do an illustration for Taboo Illustrated, that issue sells out..because of the cover. The inside content is exactly the same as always. The COVER sells the BOOK.
The mistake is not with the publisher, the mistake is with you.

- Well, i'm talking about "Warlord of Mars" comic adapted, not "Warlord of Mars" original version.
- And if i buy a comic with luxury cover out side but crap art inside, i'll never go back to buy next episode of that comic again. Most of people 'll do the same.
- NIce cover may sell the comic for the first time but the quality inside feature make people continue buying it until the end.

That's the concept...freedom of choice. Free market. Obviously there's something going on there with this "Warlord of Mars" comics series..maybe people actually LIKE the stories?
I find your point of view rather amusing, considering how every form of popular media uses this same principle. I was just looking at the European poster for "Iron Man 3" and thinking "Wow, they make Robert look REALLY GOOD in these paintings!"..so if Rob Downey Jr. doesn't look quite so amazing in the actual movie, did the film promoters cheat you? After all, they promised you an amazing looking super powerful Robert Downey Jr. and a beautiful young looking Gwynneth Paltrow on that poster..
When Sports Illustrated does the annual swimsuit issue, they spend more money producing the cover than on the rest of the entire magazine..is that cheating?
We call it marketing.

- Giving enough misinformation 'll turn marketing into cheating! Here is an example:

Yup. Everywhere and everything. From the cars to the tacos, because Corporate boards only care about numbers...CEO's get bonuses for making more profit, not better tacos. But I submit that the cover art for the "warlord of Mars" comics is nowhere near this level of misrepresentation.

Mainstream contemporary superhero comics have supersexualized female characters.

Not just some of them, all of them.

I find the stance somewhat weird, they'd shy away form some of the things our resident DF artists would portray, but at the same time, they are fine with pimping out their female characters to sell copies.

I find it 's quite hillarious and ironic at the same time. Fake and porn wannabe are allowed, while porn is not. What Warlord of Mar need to be a porn is just two tiny tits and a pussy, hell they even have two tiny tits revealed in some scene.
- And the fact is: porn wannabe just force people to search more real porn. While the one who get the real porn in the first place 'll be satisfy and stop searching it for a while.
- Porn wannabe is like the smell of a delicious food, it make you hungry and force you to search for that food and eat them by your self, and the real porn is the food themselves.
