Re: Fernando
On a slightly different theme I like the large nipple rings that Jody wears in 'Dead Shark Island' do you think we might see similar nipple rings in another comic ?

Re: Fernando
Of course it will always be up to the artist (and maybe a little to the publisher) if there will be a sequel or not to a comic.
I for one as a fellow artist, albeit in a completly diffrent field of expression, can sympathize with the challenge of finding the right inspiration for the task at hand. Even planned sequels with a basic frame allready set can be hard to produce, as well as a none forseen angles and extentions to the story can come rushing out of nowhere while working on other projects. One never knows with inspiration.
But surely, it can't ever be a fault if we the customers/fans voice our opinions on what we would like to see from an artist in the future?
Regarding the sequel vs one off discussion.
There's no need to "win" this debate, just voice your opinion and put ideas of what you would like to see in the future here on the boards. If you're/we're lucky the artist might get inspired by our writings and come up with some in the line of our wishes!

Re: Fernando
I actually think that Fernando does a good job balancing the sequels with new material. Both the Twins series and Dead Shark series are fairly recent additions to his multi-comic story collection. None of his new ideas have disappointed.
However, those of use who have grown ever fonder of the Cheerleaders series with each new issue would hate to see it end when it still has a lot of proverbial juice left. The excitement he garnered with Cheerleaders 8 is proof of that.
I would certainly hate it if Fernando did away with multi-comic series altogether. If every story has to be confined to one comic, the writer(s) can add less flesh to the plot if they want to get to the action. On the opposite side, a comic can be very action-oriented if the characters and their situations have already been introduced in an earlier comic. It also allows the reader to get more attached to the characters. I know I care a lot more about Anna from Cheerleaders as a character as for most if not all of the toons in the one-off comics.

Re: Fernando
I am not really interested in character development or having any empathy with the characters. All I want is a cracking good story packed with loads of pervy sex. While I agree that some stories may deserve a sequel or two, I believe 8 is far too many. Keep it short and sweet!

Well we all like the comics for different reasons...comicglutton wrote:I am not really interested in character development or having any empathy with the characters. I respect your opinion. I would guess I'm probably in the minority on this point.

Re: Fernando
Do you have more of an idea as to the release date of your next comic, Fernando?

Re: Fernando
I remember him stating that his next comic is taking longer than usual because he is going back and changing things. Maybe we would have a clearer release date in the following weeks.

Most likely mid-Septemberish. I'm down with a cold and my assistant will be away a few days, which is why it's delayed further.Demosthenes wrote:Do you have more of an idea as to the release date of your next comic, Fernando?
