Bring back the 80/90's High-Cut bikini !!!

Post by Kul Straff »

There's something that has been bugging me since the early 2000's... Why 90's bikini/swimwear style went out of fashion? How such a tragedy could have ever happened? The high cut style make them legs longer, improving the look of their hips and ass. It also helps them to make their waistline thiner and their torsos slimer an more athletic, improving the look of their breasts specially if they are small... Why women let fashion tirany to overrule them even against their own good looks?
I still remember those 90's bikini contests in America... those were the days!!!

I made a little illustration to prove my point  :

Next I'll post the same pic with a "modern" 60's style bikini, so you can see the difference...

I agree with your point about the merits of the high cut bikini bottom. (But the illustration was more broiler chicken than long legs... :? )

Yeah...I'm not a fan of this highly exaggerated anatomy..too cartoony for my taste. Like you're making a funny joke. Obviously a good artist, but really..there's nothing sexy or sexual in that girl's body. I'm on board completely on the bikini deal...note the tan lines I draw which are a big fetish for me, so I agree with you on that. But what you put that bikini on has to look kinda like a human girl, don't you think?

Thon, Roberts, Thanks for the reply! You unlocked the bikini Nº 2, as I promised:
Personally I would like to find the bikini Nº1 under her clothes... but this one ain't bad weither...:

In regard to the girl's body, well I confess to be a sucker for the brazilian girl type. You know strong legs and insanely toned torso. You have to see it to believe it, even Justin fagg'n Bieber couldn't resist this brazilian piece of meat:

Here's a couple more brazilian babes:

But aside from that, from an artistic point of view, I'm searching for a multi-functional and malleable figure to twist it/her around, and submit her to all kind of crazy postures and nasty shit without looking 'unnatural'.... I'm taking note of your observations, I hope to show you a couple examples of what I mean using that girl and those two brothas in that alley....

I grew up being attracted by certain artists who managed to mesmerize young readers like me somehow with out falling into explicit brutal porn, their secret was to not be so serious about the female figure, but to exagerate it, being almost grotesque, in few word, just have fun with their art. I'll put two examples:
Serpieri:

Guillermo Divito: This is an Italian guy (well Argentine, same shit), who worked through the 40's, 50's and 60's. To me he alone bring eroticism to advertising ilustration industry and mainstream comics in Europe, I didn't new about him till much later, when I realized that MUCH of the best artists when approching eroticism went back to his designs in the 40's:

Of course mainstream comic world got subdued by the much more sober american "superhero" comic style, it was many years later that I found back again nice curves, big tits, and great asses in the japanese hentai-manga style.

So there's my explanation to the 'chiken legs' and the cartoonish approach. Sorry for the long post, I love to talk about this stuff. I'll try to check what you think that could improve my designs... Thiner legs? (not too fond of that) More meat in her torso? (could be)... I'll be taking note...

Next I'll post the finally naked girl, so maybe our two heroes can put that ass into good use! haha! :22

"FIXED" pictures, by Thon and Roberts advice:

I changed her torso for a more natural look, and made her legs a bit more thiner. I still want her ass to be quite visible in the back, and her legs stilized in a "cartoonish" kind'a way. To keep improving this one pic it's pointless since I'll be giving her some "things to do" next...

Anyway my goal it's to find a curvy stilized style, different from what it's in store already to add some new flavor and appeal a broader audience, who knows... I still would like more curves in her... but it will be time to try that in a new thread I suppose... The high cut bikini theme has nothing to do with some gang bang in a dark alley...

I'll be posting the naked version next...

EDIT
Here's the naked version:

Well....
Serpieri is genius and iconic historic images...Druuna is a monument in erotic comics. Is she big in the ass? Yes. Not anywhere NEAR what you draw.
Your photos of pretty beach girls are nice too...some I could enjoy. Most I'm not interested in. too much ass. I have a couple of guys I know who are into that Big Ass Latina
look too...Lorena Orozco fans and the like....Sorry, you won't find any of those in my comics. But you will find high cut bikini lines. I love that.

Thanks for the reply Roberts. About the Serpieri stuff and all, I should had added Riverstone too:

I'm hoping to add more examples of my stuff to get more feedback, I appreciate it.

About your girls, they're perfect just the way they are, one can almost taste those curves and soft delicate flesh. There's delicacy in your girls, perfect for the genre. I read that thread about some guy saying your girls look the same and other nonsense, well of course that's crap. ALL ARTISTS have a trademark style, specially when they reach a high point in their career. Go tell Milo Manara, that he draws the same girl over and over again, that would be beyond stupidity. You wrote a great comment there about the great diversity of styles you can find here. Fernando does something with the girl's faces that no one else can do over here, Ferres is another league his work has art museum quality. To tell any of you guys to "change" or to stop delivering what you do best its like breaking the gears of the fantasy machine we all want to see getting bigger and stronger.
