Body modification and forced surgery would not be my kind of thing...but each to their own.
On the whole I believe that dofantasy have got the balance right. There is a good mix of historical, contemporary and futuristic settings...a good blend of forced sex and t@rture.
Of course Dofantasy is a business and has to make money, but I don't believe they are trying to make a fast buck out of their readers...bdsm art is too much of a niche market for that to be possible...and the process of making a comic too slow.
I have always found Nuria very polite and honorable to deal with ...always willing to take new suggestions on board.
When I first started buying comics from the site, they only had a very few great artists, now they have many, with more coming...so the future looks bright.

Hey, wasn't this supposed to be Roberts' thread?

@comicglutton: My opinion of Nuria, exactly. Very costumer-friendly and easy-going. Nice lady.

And, yes, this thread is just about to he hijacked. Actually, Roberts has always been my favorite artist because of his balance of sexual abuse and sometimes quite high doses of sadistic t@rture. My favorite artist in past tense, of course.

I'd love to see some more self contained, pinup images from Roberts. There are many of these from the past that show various girls being t@rtured in a single frame, no story or buildup needed. Not enough of that going around at the moment!

There was no contract, no written agreement of any kind, no deadline, you paid in advance and you are still surprised it turned out a massive disappointment?

If so, I have this bridge you might be interested in...

Demosthenes, you are partly right. I have been far too trusting. But consider the difficulities I see in establishing a "real" contract on a deal like this.
The artist does not deliver in "due time". So you seek out a lawyer and tell him and your family that you have to go to court in order to get some sadistic porn art you purchased some time ago. Roberts has no qualms about that and for this you actually should salute him. He as no "secret identitiy" attached to his lifestyle. I do.
So, while I have been somewhat apprehensive back then about the lack of a safety net, so to speak, I still went on with it because of his outspoken enthusiasm and statement that he would "get on it in just a few days".

I have been a blind fool, of course. I realized that about two years ago. My post was partly a reaction about the brief discussion in this thread about the possibility of Roberts doing commissions and I partly wanted to tell this story in order to warn others about the danger of being ripped off like I was.

I hope I am a bit wiser these days because of that experience.

Still, about that bridge of yours... I always desperately wanted one of those, you know. ;)

Hang on. We're overlooking something here. It's called a code of honour.
Arrakur paid Roberts for a service. Roberts was honour-bound to provide that service.

A man without honour is without friends.

It's admirable to hope for that, but in the real world it also proves to be a very naive stance.

Maybe. But each of us has to live with our own conscience. And before you say it, yes, I know some people have no conscience. :(
