ROBERTS wrote:I'm a completely devoted fan to the great "photo-realist" pin up illustrators..Hajime Sorayama being among my gods..his exact duplication of metal, using pencils, pens, brushes, and hardly any airbrush if at all, is mind bending. Luis Royo is another..I study what other more accomplished artists do and try to learn from them. A true Artist is never done..you learn new things every day. My styles and techniques will evolve continually until the day I draw no more.
*Listening, nodding, agreeing while trying to figure out where she put that Immortality formula* :D
I guess I hold Visual Artists in such esteem because I have NO drawing skills at all. I do fairly well with written word, and do have people who enhoy my work, but I'll always be an appreciator of visual Art such as your work until my last day. Depending on what the After is like, maybe even then, also. :)
Royo & Sorayama, the first time Husband showed me the books he has of their works, I thought I was looking at photographs, you have slected some really good Artists to study from!!

I may never be able to do works like You and others, but I'm content remaining in the audience!!

Some of the art that inspired me early on comes from the time when Illustrators were big. The guy at the top of the heap in my view was Gil Elvgren. Go look him up if you want to see scary talent...he didn't do fetish or "porn" but a lot of nudes and his work was on calendars and pin ups all over shops and mechanic bays in the '60s.
And of course the Glory Days of the American "Men's Magazines"...those thinly veiled porn publications that always had lurid and brilliant cover art of some hot girl in dire peril, usually bound or chained and barely covered by the tatters of her ripped clothes, threatened by evil Nazis or Bikers or other stereotype evil Men. Those illustrations were my first exposure to adult bondage art and contributed greatly to where I am now. I love those old mag covers.

I actually know what you refer to...I punched 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Detective Magazines' into google one night, and learned about Artists Elvgren and the Lurid Cover magazines.
Husband also introduced me to many other talents and examples of Classic 'Adventure' Art.
I SOOO want to go back in time and live in those eras!!
I know, 'romanticism of the young'....
But, those eras seemed to be more...real, and 'honest' than the world today. I know, I'm skewed in perspective by seeing it idealistically, but the curiosity will always be there.
I heard from Husband that back then Lithography was actually still being used, stone plates for printing Art...I LOVE that so much more even as an idea than the modern 'soul-less' printers...they work, but...is it just me or does it feel like something's been 'lost'...???

I will say this, Husband notes that your work does indeed harken back to the earlier eras, and as he sees it, does pay a respectful 'nod' to them.
Yes, he's as big a fan as I/we am. :22
Made the mistake of showing him 'Yakuza Slaves'...and judging from that smirk of his...
ANYways...
Brianna...her 'fan-ship' of your works is in a class by itself!!
Seriously, if she could find a way to translate herself into your work, she would. :)

From all of us, Thank-You for the stories & art!!!

Just 'thinking out loud'.
Not suggestions, not requests...just some random thoughts you can use, peruse, ponder borrow secondary-inspiration from, or flat-out ignore as your Muse dictates Artist Roberts.

Kinda like 'raw ore' vs the finished Platinum of your Works, as it were.

(Hey Doctor's get called 'Dr.' so why not Artists being accorded the similar respect? Right?)

Denise Milani

Think aloud all you like...thinking is still unregulated, though some do have unwarranted "control"..

I just got so busy, I haven't had time to put together the next "StarFuckers"...if I don't get going soon, all my stars will be grandmas...

In Reality, yes.
In Your world and the worlds of other Artists--time is how you like it and at Your convenience. :D

As for the 'control' on my thinking--I avoid TV a LOT. I control how much news I take in, and I Vett everything news-oriented I'm interested in.
I dislike modern media, and am untrusting of those behind it.
My mind, My rules, and those who'd have me think 'their' way can go drink Drano with an antifreeze chaser.
Like you Artist Roberts, I would keep those control-seekers out of my head. They're not even polite enough to wipe their feet before trying to come in, after all!! :D

That said in mutual Libertarianism, I will leave you in peace to work and state that as always, while your Work is appreciated, there is NO pressure--at least not from myself--never now or ever.
Artists work according to their Muse, and such plays by it's own rules of scheduling, yes? :)
All the best & brightest, may your Muse find endless Inspiration.

You are far too kind....you've put a considerable dent in my humility..

Well ok, WHAT humility...? Sounded nice though.

Glad u liked. ((HUG)) :22
Kindness/compassion/understanding...no intent on denting Humility, just the way it is, yes??. :)
Art takes time. Creativity is ruled by the Muse.
And Good Things are worth waiting for. :22

Be Safe. Be Well. You and your loved ones. You're an Artists, but some of us see the Human and wish you & Your loved ones only the best & brightest.

While your Works are Hungrily awaited--NO pressure. The Muse has it's own schedule.
Anticipation...an old Heinz ketchup ad/commercial/vid Husband showed me. Simple thing--but teaches much. ;)
Art/Flavor/Deliciousness--cannot be rushed and always worth the wait which makes the flavour all the better. :)

Thank-You again for the open invitation into your Worlds. :)

Blessings always upon your House & Home. :22

I like the way things are going at Camp Sierra Echo X-ray in "Indefinite Detention" on BDSMartwork.com. It seems that there may be an inexhaustible supply of hotties choppered in for bondage, abuse, and r@ape. Good plan.
